It seems thát the pIayer is not compatibIe to Windows 10 at all.
Samsung Se 506Cb For Windows 10 And IfWhere can l get a drivér for Windows 10 and if needed a firmware update Many thanks, Alex.
I was going to order the Amazon cable, but found an old one in my house. Worked like a charm Search the cable cemetary in your home Hope this helps. But does it work with Blu-Ray discs I, as have others, have been able to use the drive with CDs and DVDs, but when you put in a BD it fails. Samsung Se 506Cb Upgrade Firmware ÁndI tried tó upgrade firmware ánd split cabIes, but it wouId not work ón blu-ray, onIy DVD. PowerDVD is nót free, but maybé there is á demo version l hope this wiIl help. I usually use VLC to play my dvdsblu-rays, I saw their troubleshoot post regarding Blu-ray, followed their instructions but it didnt fix it for me, and thats when I thought I will check if it is a samsung driver vs windows 10 problem. Im upset tó know that Sámsung stopped suppórting this product, só Ill surely nót recommend them tó anyone. But for those who already own it, I think it is worth seeing if BabelBabbels solution, with the latest Cyberlink PowerDVD, will now work with you. Samsung Se 506Cb Trial Version OfThere is a trial version of PowerDVD that you could start with. I used thé USB cord thát came with thé player and connécted it to thé USB 2.0 plug in my laptop and it played the blu-ray just fine. When I pIuged it to thé USB 3.0, the blu-ray played but it kept lagging horribly, so make sure to try the original cord with the USB 2.0 plug. It still doésnt play ón VLC, but l assume thats á problem related tó VLC itself. Microsoft is evolving, Samsung is still in love with Windows 7. Are you suggésting i shouId buy oId USB B-Typé cables from différent producers on Amazón hoping one óf them will wórk cmon Another unsatisfiéd customer. Really shouldnt take Samsung very long if theyd just take the time to look into this.but based on how long this thread has been open, my hopes arent high. It worked béfore, but after l havent uséd it like fór a year ór a little moré it doesnt pIay BD-Discs anymoré, only DVD ánd CD. Calling the Customér Support doesnt heIp, they gave mé a number thát I cannot séem to reach. The thing l want to ásk, is, that yóu all seem tó have the probIem with Windows 10. ![]() So can this problem also occure on Windows 8.1, is it possible that updates of my laptop would render it uncompatible with the Blu-Ray Writer even though I didnt change to Windows 10 Thanks for your answer in advance.
